Firearm Instructor and Educator
Welcome to Pinpoint Firearms and Defense Training (Pinpoint FDT), where your safety and firearm handling skills are our top priorities. As a native of Washington D.C. with 23 years of experience in Law Enforcement, I have dedicated my passion for firearms training to educate and inspire others in the knowledge and responsible use of firearms.

For two decades, I shared my expertise in firearms training as a hobby, but in 1920, I took the leap to become a Certified Instructor. Now, I'm proud to offer a unique set of firearm skills that only a handful of Instructors teach, particularly on the East Coast. Teaching others about firearms safety and proficiency brings me immense joy and fulfillment

My name is Darrell Nelson, and my 20+ year law enforcement career has equipped me with a deep understanding of firearms and self-defense. As the founder and owner of Pinpoint Firearms & Defense Training, LLC, my mission is to create a safe and comfortable environment for all students.
